Getting Started with Item

In Finovars, the term "item" includes both the products you provide and the services you offer or receive. By carefully entering all relevant details related to these items into the system, you can enhance your management processes and improve the accuracy of your invoices and bills.

Entering item details each time you create an invoice or bill can be labor-intensive and may lead to potential errors and inconsistencies that complicate financial tracking. To address these challenges, Finovars allows you to input the name of the item. The system then automatically retrieves and fills in the invoice or bill with all pertinent information associated with that item, including descriptions, pricing, quantities, and any applicable taxes. This feature not only saves time but also significantly reduces the likelihood of mistakes, ensuring that your billing process is both efficient and reliable.

To access the items within the Finovers platform, begin by selecting "Masters" from the side menu on your dashboard. This action will reveal a dropdown menu containing several additional options. Look for the option labeled "Items" and click on it.

Upon selecting "Items", you will be taken to the item management page. Here, you will see a comprehensive list of all items that have already been added to the system. This list will include important details such as item names, descriptions, and any relevant identifiers.

On the item management page, you can view all the details of any selected item. From this page, you have various options to manage your items effectively. To add new items, click the <a href='http://localhost:8080/knowledgebase/create-item.html'>Add Item</a> button. To edit an existing item, select it and choose the <a href='http://localhost:8080/knowledgebase/update-item.html'>Edit</a> option. If you need to remove items that are no longer needed, select the <a href='http://localhost:8080/knowledgebase/delete-item.html'>Delete</a> option. Each action will typically prompt a confirmation dialog to ensure that you are making the correct choice. This user-friendly interface simplifies the management of your item inventory within Finovers.

If your list of items is extensive, you have the option to streamline your selection process by utilizing the filtering feature. Simply click the button adjacent to the Add button above the item list. This tool empowers you to refine your search based on various criteria, including Name, Status, Currency, Item Type, and Amount Range, allowing for a more organized and efficient management of your items.
